Sue Averell was born
in Ohio in 1957. Her family soon moved to Southern California
where she grew up. As a child, Sue spent much of her time
drawing; she knew early on that she was going to be an artist.
After studying at the
prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena,
California, Sue worked for several years in the printing
industry.
In 2002 Sue began working full time in her painting studio
creating works for her studio events
and gallery shows.
Sue creates
many commissioned works each year for both corporate and
individual clients. She enjoys
working with her clients to create just the right piece and
welcomes your inquiry about a personal painting for you or your
business.
Sue's Sausalito
studio is open twice a year for the annual Marin Councils Spring
Open Studios and the ICB Building Winter Open Studios events.
The ICB Building event includes 50 participating artists; all
are within the building where Sue's studio is located. For exact
dates, please go to Sue's website. In addition,
she welcomes visitors to her Sausalito studio through out the
year by appointment .
